Dell buys “adamo.com” domain name from Tucows

Domain Name News No Comments »

According to a blog post on One Degree, Tucows’ YummyNames unit has sold the domain name adamo.com to Dell. Details of the deal have not disclosed other than it was directly brokered by Bill Sweetman of YummyNames with Dell. Adamo is the name of Dell’s new luxury notebook line, and the domain name now points to their site. Dell had previously been using the domain name AdamoByDell.com and claimed to have contacted Tucows through a broker before, but broke off contact when the broker got the impression that the price would be too high. The domain name was originally part of a portfolio of names of a company called Mailbank, which was purchased by Tucows as part of the Netidentity acquisition in 2006.
